As Israel’s most senior facilitator of Trauma Center, Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), I am here to offer you a soft place to land. My role is to walk alongside you as you gently reclaim your physical space and begin to rebuild a relationship with your body, one built on an embodied sense of internal safety, choice, and trust.
So what is Trauma Center, Trauma Sensitive Yoga?
Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is a modified style of yoga that offers safe opportunities to practice embodied choice-making, to notice and interact with visceral body sensations. In this practice, the yoga forms are simply the means rather than the goal; we aren't looking for physical mastery, but rather using these shapes as predictable "maps" for you to explore your own inner experience at your own pace. TCTSY is most effective as an adjunctive intervention, designed to walk hand-in-hand with your talk therapy to ensure both your mind and body are supported in your recovery.
Developed by experts at the Center for Trauma and Embodiment, TCTSY is grounded in rigorous clinical research, making it the world’s only evidence-based yoga program specifically validated for trauma treatment. Today, it is recognized as a cornerstone of the "third wave" of psychotherapy, honoring the body as a wise and necessary partner in the journey toward lasting healing.
