ABOUT ME
Certified Facilitator and Agency Trainer
My name is Rachel and it's a pleasure to introduce myself!
Learn more about me and my background, from both a professional and personal perspective.
Professional Bio:
I became Israel's first facilitator of Trauma Center, Trauma Sensitive Yoga in 2017 after years of teaching mainstream yoga styles. I completed my training at the Boston Trauma Center at JRI (now the Center for Trauma and Embodiment), where Trauma Center, Trauma Sensitive Yoga was created, developed and researched. I now only work in this very special niche of trauma care.
As of today, I work within a variety of women's shelters, mental health treatment clinics, non-profit organizations and NGOs serving trauma-impacted populations. Over time I have accumulated extensive experience in supporting survivors from a range of trauma histories including childhood sexual abuse/sexual trauma (in both religious and secular communities); war and terror related trauma, domestic violence and abandonment, men and women in addiction recovery centers and prison-exit programs. Some of my current partnerships include:
Inbalim (Beit Ela & Beit Inbal) - residential homes for women, Beer Yaakov
Hochmat Nashim - women's mental health clinic founded by Dr. Anat Gur, Tel Aviv
Merkaz Noga - residential addiction recovery center, Beer Sheva
Benefsheinu - trauma treatment center for religious and orthodox communities, Bnei Brak
Magen for Jewish Communities - victim advocacy and support organization, Jerusalem
In addition to the above I also see clients privately, at The Clinic at Therapy Tel Aviv where I am happy to be part of their wonderful team of Anglo mental health practitioners. Almost all of my private clients find me by way of professional referral.
